How fast is technology advancing compaired to how fast life advanced?
Or how fast could life advance with the help of technology? Maybe its a race to see who wins but neither side thinks the other can win when infact both end up winning in the big picture of things. Like both sides are blind to the fact that each is advancing very fast and there for think they can win a race but its the fact that they race that makes them winners.
Sorry I try not to ask leading questions but I guess I did on this one. I assumed that life came before technology and im sure someones feelings may be hurt by that so If you want it can be other way around maybe? lol
Well the two go hand in hand.
If you think about it, culture shapes technology and, in turn, technology shapes culture.
Kind of like the old 'chicken and the egg' conundrum.
apple and oranges, man.

I often wonder if we are seeing the peak of our ingenious, now we are pretty much equal, must to the extent that one could see our advancement parrellel with technological advancement

Extremely fast, much faster than humans are evolving. People such as Sir Isaaic Newton and Wilfred Gottlieb Leibnitz lived centuries ago but possessed great intellect.

fact, life is moving faster, think for a sec, why do you think that you learn something new everyday, tech is just to make life easier and trying to keep up with life moving into new era's, for instance , the tech to preserve food or whatever, keep us living longer so we can fortell the A.D and B.C stories.

life evolved extremely slowly- took a couple of billion years from the first single cell organisms till now
November 22nd, 2008 at 6:35 amcollectively the human mind is advancing faster and faster as a direct result of technology, first books and now the internet
technology and life now evolve together, and are mutually dependent-technology can't do much for itself yet without humans to write and apply the programs- advances in technology and research are now dependant on the technology to do the relevant experiments that give birth to new technology
the technology is still blind, and there isn't much of a race yet- but the race of the human mind to learn and understand, to master its environment is moving forward at an exponential rate, and that is due to the available technology
